LINE-UPS
The Low Riders are available in a number of different formats. In addition to the core band there is a female lead vocalist, full brass section and a percussion player.
Adding female vocals will give you killer harmonies all the way through, and will expand the songlist to all the female led tunes as well. Plus you get the added energy of two all-singing, all dancing performers.
Adding horns will give oomph and thickness to the sound, glamour and energy to the visuals and who knows – you may find them wandering the dancefloor playing a killer solo or two!
Adding percussion will give you that extra layer of funk and groove.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
- 2 hours of live music finishing by midnight, either as 2 sets of 1 hour with 1 break or 3 shorter sets with 2 breaks. It is possible to increase playing / finishing times slightly but this would involve an extra charge.
- Sound Equipment – We provide all the sound equipment for medium and small venues (venues up to 250 people). Front of house sound comes from a top of the range, HK Audio 3kw rig worth over £5000. So the sound will be crystal clear and as loud as you need it! For larger gigs (over 250 people) we can hire in a bigger system and a dedicated sound engineer. This is an added charge.
- Stage Lighting – We provide our own Acme intelligent lighting system for the Stage. It can be used in part for the dancefloor (if it isn’t too big). However, we suggest if you are keen to really light up the dancefloor you should hire your own lighting system.
- Background music – We encourage you to share with us a Spotify playlist to keep the vibe going between sets. Note that if you wish to use the speakers after the performance finishes or bring your own DJ in after the band finishes there would be an extra charge for renting the sound equipment.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
DJ
The Low Riders can provide a professional DJ (there are 2 in the band) with professional equipment. He will play after the performance but not during the interval, and the type of music tends to be funk, soul, old-school hip-hop and forgotten and modern classics. However, clients are encouraged to make requests for the type of music they are after. There is an extra charge for the DJ service and it will depend on how long you want him for. Please enquire further.
Pre-dinner live music options
If you would also like a smaller version of the band to perform at your reception, we can offer you a jazz duo or trio to accompany your drinks. We can also offer a roaming 3 piece pop trio if the right players are available.
Professional Sound Engineer
There is also the option of a professional sound engineer with a state of the art system, which is ideal for big venues (anything over 250 people, or in a v large room/marquee/ or high spec affair). This is an extra charge but will ensure the absolute top quality, big sound that a large space demands. We often use the top pros at DW Audio.
Early Soundcheck / Late Finish
We quote for the band to arrive at 6pm to load in and soundcheck and to finish their final set at the latest 12pm. If you want the band in earlier or finishing later, this is totally possible but would incur extra charges. Please enquire for more details.
